Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, Mariam Al Qattan’s early aesthetic consciousness was profoundly shaped by the region’s contemporary architectural renaissance, characterized by clean geometric lines and avant-garde luxury. Her deep-seated passion for the roots of Oriental arts eventually led her to move to Egypt, embarking on a profound immersion into the historic depths of Islamic, Fatimid, and Coptic art traditions.

Born in Cairo during the early 1990s within the historic quarters of the ancient metropolis, Rawan Mekky’s formative aesthetic consciousness was shaped by the striking visual juxtapositions of her environment. Her gaze matured amid the soaring, calculated geometry of Fatimid minarets and the kinetic, organic chaos of traditional marketplaces, further enriched by the grand European structural lines of Downtown Cairo (Khedivial Cairo).

Raised amidst the rich cultural and architectural topography of the United Arab Emirates, Ziad El Kasemy developed an early fascination with the sacred geometry of Islamic ornamentation and the rigorous disciplines of classical Arabic calligraphy. Observing the historical manuscripts and the timeless shadows thrown by traditional wind-towers (Barajeel) in Sharjah, he sought to decode the structural rhythm of heritage.
